Eva Lindeman  —  graphic design & illustration

Mathijs from Things We Love asked me to do the illustrations for the Dag van de Jeugdtheaterscholen (the Dutch Youth Theatreschools open day). He wanted a little character that would be recognisable and fun. I came up with a little ghost, which would live backstage at theatres. You could see it as a wink to The Phantom, but I just think ghosts and theatres go well together in general. I gave them black masks so they could play different roles.
Additionally I brainstormed on type and design which resulted in a tall gothic typeface that’s reminiscent of old theatresigns.
